[Binaẏa Zenana mission book Rāẏa; Pranati Ray; I.S.P.C.K. (Organization)]. This is the fascinating account of the Zenana mission work of Mary Elizabeth Darley [c].

She served in China with the Church of England Zenana Mission Society and was supported by the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Dublin University Fuh-Kien Mission. My thanks to Redcliffe College for providing a copy of the book to scan.

This title is in. The Church of England Zenana Missionary Society (CEZMS; founded ), also known as the Church of England Zenana Mission, was a British Anglican Christian missionary society established to spread Christianity in India.

It would later expand its missionary work into Japan and Qing Dynasty it was absorbed into the Church Missionary Zenana mission book (CMS). Much more could be said of many notable, but often unnoted women, who served in the Zenana mission.

Many lesser-known women, some of whom came from prominent Baptist families, served with the Zenana, including Lilian Edwards from Cardiff, who wrote of her work in a little book called a Welsh Woman's Work in India.
